The cast and crew of the soap opera 7de Laan, as well as viewers, have all been praised by the family of actor David Rees for their unwavering support for the actor during his sickness.
David was hospitalized in an intensive care unit on Sunday after suffering a heart attack at his home in Johannesburg. On Thursday, he was transferred to the high-care unit.
On the actor’s Facebook page, his staff has been providing regular updates about the actor’s condition.
David’s publicist, Corlia Strauss, told TshisaLIVE that the actor, well known for his role as Chris Welman in 7de Laan, is making a good recovery.
“He is doing fine at this stage. He is in high care. He can only talk to his family. There are visitation limits on his visits.”
The actor lacks medical insurance coverage. His sister Monique Buttle launched a crowdfunding campaign in an effort to earn R500,000 for his medical expenses.
