Not long ago, the Minister of Information and Culture in Nigeria, Lai Mohammed, warned that all filmmakers in Nigeria have been asked to desist from shooting money ritual scenes in their movies anymore.

He added that the reason for their decision is because it is having a lot of influence on the youth in Nigerian; hence, increase in money ritual-related deaths.

Reacting to this, Veteran Nollywood actor, Jode Kosoko has asked lots of questions pertaining to the ban made by the Ministry of Information and Culture.

In an interview with Channels TV, the veteran actor lamented that it is a wrong accusation against the Nigerian film industry.

He added that people are forgetting that making movies is just a mirror of what is happening in society. He said that they only portray that in an entertaining way.

“We have heard of politicians embezzling money here and there. Are you saying that they learnt embezzlement in our movies too?

All those people display money here and there, on occasions, at various functions. Are we the ones that taught them that? He quizzed.
