Alexis Bledel Reveals She’s Exiting ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Ahead of Season 5


won’t be getting back to The Handmaid’s Tale for season 5. In a proclamation to ET, the 40-year-old entertainer uncovered her exit from the Hulu series. The media has contacted Hulu for comment.


“After much thought, I believed I needed to pull back from The Handmaid’s Tale right now,” Bledel’s assertion read. “I’m everlastingly appreciative to Bruce Miller for composing such honest and full scenes for Emily, and to Hulu, MGM, the cast, and group for their help.”


The assortment was quick to report the fresh insight about Bledel’s Handmaid’s Tale exit.

Bledel featured on The Handmaid’s Tale as Emily/Ofglen since the show’s most memorable season in 2017. She procured four Emmy assignments and one win for her work on the series.

Season 4 of the Hulu series, which broadcasted its finale in June 2021, closed with Bledel collaborating with June (Elisabeth Moss) and other previous handmaids to seek retribution on Gilead.
