Anthony Anderson Reveals Why He Left ‘Law & Order’ After Just One Season

Anthony Anderson had his eyes on another experience when he chose to withdraw Law and Order after only one season. ET’s Kevin Frazier addressed the 51-year-old entertainer on Thursday when he was one of the celebs to slip on South Lake Tahoe for the American Century Championship introduced by American Century Investments.

While addressing ET, Anderson uncovered the purpose for his exit from the NBC series, on which he repeated his job as Detective Kevin Bernard, a section he at first played during the show’s previous run, from 2008 to 2010.

The show was restored for season 21 recently when it was broadly detailed that Anderson had just marked a one-season contract.

“I needed to go off and make more shows like Black-ish, make things that I have possession in, and accomplish something somewhat unique,” Anderson told ET of why he left Law and Order.

Concerning what’s next for Anderson, he uncovered, “We’re going out and pitching one more show called Miraculous, which I’m amped up for, so anticipating what that will do.”

As well as looking forward to new ventures, Anderson is additionally thinking back. The current month’s approaching Emmy assignments have Anderson contemplating Black-ish, his NBC sitcom that circulated its last season recently.

“I’m constantly invigorated for that season. I will tell the truth, I’m energized,” he said of possibly catching a nom. “… Everyone’s idiom perhaps we may be the nostalgic top picks since this is our keep going season on air. I don’t go for that, however, yet no I’m energized for it.”
