Betty White, whose full name is Betty Marion White, was an American actress best known for her humorous roles on several television comedies, most notably The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls.
White was born January 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Illinois, U.S. She died December 31, 2021, in Brentwood, California.
White performed in several radio plays in the 1940s before starting to frequently appear on television in 1949 as a “girl Friday” on Hollywood on Television.
Later, she took over as the program’s host, and in 1952, she cofounded Bandy Productions to work on her own ideas. The television sitcom Life with Elizabeth debuted later that year.
Betty White’s previous California home was recently destroyed. The renowned “Golden Girls” actress and her TV celebrity husband Allen Ludden purchased the Brentwood house in 1968.
Where the five-bedroom mansion once stood, a mound of earth can now be seen in aerial footage. It reportedly sold in June of last year for close to $10.7 million and was described as a tear-down, meaning the new owners could demolish the house and erect a new one.
