Managers of the hotel he lodged in Ritz-Carlton in Orlando after realizing that he wasn’t responding to calls lodged an official complaint to the Sheriff’s Department at around 4 pm ET. When they arrived at the scene and gained access to his room, he was already dead.
In an official announcement of Bob Saget’s death, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter:
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
Bob Saget was on tour and last played his show on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Jacksonville. That was exactly a day before his death.
