Renowned American actor and former National Football League and Arena Football League player Brad William Henke was born on April 10, 1966. Henke passed away on November 29, 2022.

Henke attained the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for his portrayal as Corrections Officer Desi Piscatella on Orange Is the New Black, for which he is most known.

During his football career, the New York Giants selected Henke in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft, but he was released during training camp. Henke was signed by the Denver Broncos, and he participated in Super Bowl XXIV between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos.

Not only was Henke good at playing football. In 1994, Henke started acting, first appearing in advertisements. He made appearances in the films Fury, Choke, Sherrybaby, Must Love Dogs, Around June, In the Valley of Elah, October Road, and The Amateurs.
