Budgie Burke Shelley has died. He was a Welsh musician, and singer-songwriter, lead vocalist of the Rock Band Budgie. He died at age 71 on 10 January 2022.
Budgie Burke Shelley was born in Canton, Cardiff in 1950, Budgie Burke Shelley co-founded Rock Band Budgie in 1967 with Tony Bourge and Ray Phillips. They had 10 studio albums between 1971 and 1982.
Shelley played bass with a Guitar alongside singing and playing bass for the group, Shelley played keyboards on its early albums. Shelley suffered Stickler syndrome – a genetic disorder – in recent years, as well as suffering two aortic aneurysms.
Burke Shelley’s Cause of death
Budgie Burke Shelley had surgery at a point in his life. He couldn’t sing but continued to play bass for the band. It was announced by a post her daughter made on Facebook that he slept and never woke up and we don’t know why.
As of now, Budgie Burke Shelley’s family is waiting for his autopsy results.
