Byron Buxton salary and net worth

is an American professional baseball centre fielder for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball. He was the second-highest rated prospect in baseball according to MLB.com, Baseball Prospectus in 2015 and he won the Gold Glove Award in 2017.

Byron was born on December 18, 1993, in Baxley, Georgia to Carrie Buxton and Felton Buxton.

Buxton attended Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia. He was the second choice in Major League Baseball Draft in 2012 after throwing for the school baseball team.

Prior to joining the Minnesota Twins, he played for the Gulf Coast Twins, Elizabethton Twins, Cedar Rapids Kernels, and Fort Myers Miracle in Minor League Baseball.

He began dating Lindsey Tillery in 2012, she attended the same high school with him but was three years ahead of him. The couple had their first son, Britton Buxton in 2013 and Blaze Jeff Buxton in 2020.
