There are so many hidden truths about the Space Needle; you may not even know about them until you are told. When Space Needle was opened on the 21st of April,1962, there was a restaurant in operation.
This restaurant is known as the Skyline restaurant and was the world’s first and only revolving glass floor located on the 500 foot level of Seattle’s landmark tower. With never seen views of the structure and city below, The loupe makes a revolution around the skyline every 30 minutes.
As part of the Space Needle’s historic renovation project carried out, there has not been full service revolving restaurant at the Space Needle.
As part of the plans for the renovation, there will be a dining area to be fitted with a clear glass floor. The glass floor would enable diners to view the city below them and also the mechanics that operate the revolving floor. Currently, there is no place at the Space Needle to eat.
