On July 2, 1985, Chad Steven Henne was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He is an NFL quarterback. He went to Michigan State University. With quarterback Clayton Richard and redshirt sophomore Matt Gutierrez ahead of him on the depth chart, Henne started the 2004 season as a freshman for the Wolverines.

With a 43-10 victory at the end of the first game of his career, Henne completed 14 of 24 passes for 142 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Since Rick Leach did it in 1975, Henne is Michigan’s only other true freshman to start on the first day of the season.

Henne’s rookie campaign was distinguished by a victory over Michigan State in triple overtime and a record-tying performance in the Rose Bowl versus Texas. With 25, he also equalled Elvis Grbac’s 1991 record for the most touchdown passes in a season at Michigan.
