PSG manager Christophe Galtier has affirmed that the club intend to sign another forward before the exchange window closes as Mauro Icardi and Arnaud Kalimuendo close to creates some distance from the capital.
Kalimuendo has scorned a transition to Leeds for staying in Ligue 1 with Rennes, while Icardi has been downgraded to the stores fully expecting a possible takeoff from Parc des Princes before very long.
Should the two players leave, Galtier would have only two regular strikers on the books as Kylian Mbappe and Reims loanee Hugo Ekitike, and the manager has recognized another marking will be required.
“We need to sign a new forward,” Galtier said. “With a bustling timetable, we need appearances.
“The club is working, I am in direct contact with Luis Campos. Luis is in direct contact with our leader. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. Will the player show up? We don’t have a clue about that.”
Galtier, who affirmed that a craving for normal beginnings was behind Kalimuendo’s longing to leave the club this mid year, after the fact conceded that PSG are attempting to find another club for Icardi after he was downgraded to the stores.
“It was difficult, I saw him toward the beginning of the week. His nonappearance last end of the week was a brandishing decision, I needed to make our gathering more modest,” the supervisor said. “I don’t have a clue about his desires.
“The club is attempting to track down the most ideal arrangement. He has had next to no playing time in late seasons. I think he really wants to financially recover, resuscitate himself. To his greatest advantage and those of the club, I think we need to track down a split the difference.”
