Dame Temuranga Batley-Jackson, commonly referred to as June Jackson, was a New Zealand Māori activist and public servant born on August 24, 1939.

Dame June Jackson was noted for serving as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Manukau Urban Māori Authority from 1986 to 2009.

She was also a member of the New Zealand Parole Board from 1991 until her death in March this year.

Details about the institution Dame June Jackson received her formal education are unknown and her background also remains discrete.

June Jackson was appointed a Companion of the Queen’s Service Order for public services in the 1996 Queen’s Birthday Honors.

In her 2010 Birthday Honors, June Jackson was further appointed Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for her services to Māori. Meanwhile, Jackson passed away on March 28, 2022.
