Burnaboy, a Nigerian rapper, responded to a post about his departure to Ivory Coast following his failure in the 2023 African Nations Championship.

The rapper, who is well-known for his provocative and amusing social media posts, begged for help and assured fans that he had no idea where they were leading him.

Nigerians frequently use this expression in response when they believe they no longer have control over anything.

This attitude was caught on camera in a widely circulated video where a driver drove off and an officer was called to assist. The video served as the intro to one of Asake’s songs.

Burna Boy recently garnered internet fame for harshly criticizing another rapper, Davido, in response to unjustified criticism from one of the musician’s fans.

Burna Boy in trouble with Nigerian music fans

The issue began when a Davido fan group called the 30BG (30 Billion Gang) mocked Burna Boy for losing all four of his Grammy nominations by using his image as their social media profile photo.

The person on Twitter, whose profile featured a photo of Davido, specifically targeted Burna Boy, referring to him as a “ode.”

“Bottled 4 Grammys,” the twitter user wrote.

Rather of taking offence at the 30BG fan, Burna Boy focused emphasis on the fan’s selection of a profile photo.

Burna Boy penned this:

“The actual Joke is in your Display Pic.”
