The daughter of Robert Deal Alley and Lillian Alley, American actress Kirstie Alley was born in Wichita, Kansas. Colette and Craig were two of her siblings.

In 1979, Alley made a contestant appearance on the game program Match Game after relocating to Los Angeles to study Scientology and work as an interior designer. In the first round, Alley took home $500, and in the second, she took home $5500. Additionally, she participated in the 1980 episode of Password Plus.

The actress made her acting debut in 1982’s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan as Lieutenant Saavik, a Vulcan Starfleet officer. Alley declined to return for the films’ subsequent two sequels, claiming she was given less money than for Star Trek II.

William True and Lillie Price Stevenson, who was adopted by Alley, were his two children.
