In St. Louis, Missouri, on January 22, 1959, Linda Blair was born to James Frederick and Elinore Blair. Linda Blair has an older brother named Jim and an older sister named Debbie.
The family moved to Westport, Connecticut, when Blair was two years old because her father, a former Navy test pilot who is now an executive recruiter, accepted a job there.
Blair’s mother was a Westport real estate agent. At the age of five, Blair began working as a child model, making appearances in catalogs for Sears, J.C. Penney, and Macy’s as well as in more than 70 commercials for Welch’s grape jam and other brands.
As an advocate and actress. Blair earned a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance as Regan MacNeil in the slasher movie The Exorcist (1973).
