Tim Donald Cook, an American engineer and business executive, was born on November 1st, 1960. Tim Cook has been the CEO of Apple Inc. since 2011. Prior to joining the company, Cook worked as its co-founder Steve Jobs’ chief operations officer.

Mobile, Alabama, in the United States, is where Cook was born. Growing up in the adjacent Robertsdale, Tim Cook was baptized in a Baptist church. Tim Cook had a mother named Geraldine who worked at a drugstore and a father named Donald who worked in a shipyard.

Robertsdale High School’s class of 1978 included Cook. In 1982, Tim Cook graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering, and in 1988, graduated from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

In March 1998, Cook became a senior vice president for global operations at Apple. Later, Tin Cook was promoted to executive vice president for global sales and operations. Prior to Jobs’ passing that year in October, Tim Cook was appointed CEO on August 24, 2011.

In his capacity as CEO, he has pushed for political reform in the areas of domestic and foreign surveillance, cybersecurity, American manufacturing, and environmental preservation.

Cook doubled the business’s sales and profit between 2011 when he took over Apple and 2020, increasing the market value of the company from $348 billion to $1.9 trillion.

Tim Cook has not resign from Apple. After 2025, Tim Cook might leave his position as CEO of Apple. Before leaving his position as CEO, he’ll probably add gear for augmented reality and virtual reality to Apple’s portfolio.

With the release of its mixed reality headset sometime in 2019, Apple may already be implementing the plan.
