Does Lauren Diagle have a mental illness?: Christian music singer, Lauren Daigle made an appearance at the Z100 studios to talk about her album titled, Look Up Child and revealed how music came through for her at a time she most needed it.
The singer shared her story of being diagnosed with an illness called the cytomegalovirus, a virus related to chickenpox and mononucleosis when she was only 15 years old.
The immune deficiency kept her in isolation for about two years.
During this time, Lauren Daigle took singing lessons thanks to her mom who thought voice lessons would keep her daughter from depression.
“And I fell in love, it became my healing…From that space that’s where those songs come from. I feel like that experience, I could live a life off of just those two years.” Daigle said.
Does Lauren Daigle Have A Mental Illness?
The now 30 year old singer who has never had a mental illness tells everyone, “What you think might overcome you, is actually just the place you’re supposed to launch from.”
