Celebrated Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, TG Omori has taken to social media to advise philanthropists to desist from filming the poor and the needy when giving them alms to support them.

It is no doubt that most celebs intentionally call bloggers and other media personnel to follow them around while they give out to the poor in society as a way of marketing their brand through Public Relation.

However, speaking against the trend, TG Omori opined that doing such takes away the pride of the people at the receiving end of the alms.

He explained that most of these poor people wished they are not shared on social media as being poor but have no other choice than to swallow their pride and take the shame.

In his own words, “Life is hard for the poop don’t film them while giving them bread. Every man has pride na hunger humble them, deep down he doesn’t wish to be on social as the poor one who couldn’t afford bread but I mean a beggar has no choice”.
