Elton John is honoring Sovereign Elizabeth II. The 75-year-old English artist, who was knighted by the late ruler in 1998, pondered her life and heritage during his Goodbye Yellow Block Street Visit stop in Toronto, Canada, on Thursday. His remarks came that very day that Sovereign Elizabeth passed on at Balmoral Palace in Scotland. She was 96.
“We have the saddest news about the death of Her Highness Sovereign Elizabeth,” he told the group. “She was a motivating individual to be near. I’ve been around her and she was fabulous. She drove the nation however a portion of our most prominent and haziest minutes with elegance, conventionality and a real consideration and warmth.”
“I’m 75, she’s been with me for my entire life and I feel extremely miserable that she will not be with me any longer. I’m happy she’s settled, and I’m happy she’s very still, and she merits it. She’s really buckled down,” John proceeded. “I send my adoration to her family and friends and family. She will be remembered fondly, however her soul lives on and we commend her life this evening with music.”
