Emil Ruusuvuori is a professional tennis player from Finland who has had modest success on the ATP Tour and is a member of the Rafa Nadal Academy part-time.

Emil Ruusuvuori made his mark on the tennis world when he defeated third seed Alexander Zverev in the second round of the Miami Open in 2021, only weeks after defeating Gael Monfils in the first round of the Australian Open.

Emil Ruusuvuori was born on April 2, 1999, in Helsinki, Finland, and is presently 23 years old.

Ruusuvuori, a former world No. 4 in juniors, turned professional in 2018. Since then, he’s won four of his six Challenger Tour finals, all on hard courts.

He was also a member of the Finland Davis Cup team, where he won his first match against a top 100 player when he defeated Dominic Thiem 6-3, 6-2 in September 2019.

His first-round victory over 10th seed Gael Monfils at the 2021 Australian Open, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, is one of his other most memorable achievements.
