The Discharge Certificate that the next governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, possesses has been disassociated from the Scheme by Brigadier General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed, the director general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Remember that there have been questions about the validity of the aforementioned NYSC Discharge Certificate that Mbah submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in order to run for governor of Enugu State on March 18, 2023.

The NYSC DG claimed the Certificate Mbah was in possession of was not one that was granted by NYSC in an interview with Arise TV this morning.

“You cannot obtain a certificate from the streets or a hotel. The governor-elect is a lawyer. Although I am not a lawyer myself, as the DG of NYSC, I am fully aware of this case. He approached me, and I was honest with him, stating that this certificate is not issued by us,” said Brig-Gen Ahmed.

In response to being informed that Mbah had filed a lawsuit against the NYSC and its Director of Certification regarding the matter, the DG replied, “Do you file a lawsuit through newspaper publications? As far as I know, NYSC has not been sued. I have not received any court order or notification.”
