Australian television personality, Ernie Carroll recently died. He died at the age of 92.
Daryl Somers, a friend verified the news online, saying Carroll died gently and naturally inside his unit at a Mornington retirement town in Victoria. He was a guy of few words and a calm demeanor, but he spoke with profound knowledge.
He is best remembered for his role as Ossie Ostrich on Hey Hey It's Saturday. He designed the puppet and performed in it for 25 of the program's 30 years.
He was survived by his children Lynne and Bruce. His grandkids and girlfriend, Miffy Marsh also survive him.
