American professional boxer  currently stands as a unified welterweight world champion.

Born on March 3, 1990 in Long Island, New York, United States, Errol Spence Jr. has held the IBF title since 2017 and the WBC title since 2019.

His career debuted as an amateur in the welterweight division earning three consecutive United States national championships.

He represented the United States at the 2012 Olympics, where he reached the quarter-finals closing the chapter of his amateur career with a record of 135–12.

Spence made his professional debut aged 22 on November 9, 2012, at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California in a scheduled 4 round bout against Jonathan Garcia, a 19-year-old.

Spence knocked the 19-year-old down and out just in the third round.

Having been named Prospect of the Year by ESPN in 2015, he ranked as the world’s fourth-best active boxer as of August 2021.
