From 2013 until his passing in 2023, Fabio Martínez Castilla, a Mexican Catholic bishop, presided as the archbishop of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. Martínez Castilla was ordained as a priest on January 31, 1977, after being born on July 20, 1950, in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo.

After serving in the Yucatán Archdiocese in a variety of pastoral capacities, he was named Bishop of Ciudad Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, in 2007. On February 19, 2013, he was consecrated as Tuxtla Gutiérrez’s Archbishop.
