Wizkid, Burna Boy, and the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti were three of the well-known Nigerian musicians Rema influenced musically.

Rema revealed this knowledge in an interview with Hip TV. He also revealed that American rapper Kanye West was one of the worldwide artists who influenced him.

Rema claims that Burna Boy, Whizkid, and Kanye West’s lives are what motivate him to make music.

He said, “I’m inspired by Burna [Boy] because of his story. Fela [Kuti] inspires me. Kanye West [inspires me] because of how far he goes in terms of his creativity, and production I really like Wiz [kid] because of how he carries himself.”

According to him, he plans to stay consistent by being original and unique.
