Niyi Akinmolayan, a Nigerian director, producer, and media strategist, has questioned Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, who is the CEO of Mavins Records and a record producer.

The director questioned why the Mavins boss’ artists consistently use the same song structure.

Niyi has noticed that his signees frequently sing about having fun, which gives him a strange feeling.

He tweeted,

“This thing where Don Jazzy gets young artists and list of the song is about sex and sex makes me feel somehow sha. I don’t know. It’s all sex sex sex. Sometimes I can tell they don’t even know what they are singing about. But what do I know. The music industry is rich as u say”.

Just a few days prior, Don Jazzy “activated” a fresh talent by the name of Bayanni.

The young man was introduced to the Nigerian music scene through the platform of the music producer.

Don Jazzy announced on his verified Instagram account that the aspiring musician had graduated from the Mavin Academy and was now ready to wow the world with his talent.

In a skit which featured award-winning skit makers, Mr Funny aka Sabinus and Brainjotter, the beatmaker welcomed his new artiste to the music industry.

Taking to his caption section, Don Jazzy wrote, “It’s that time again when we bring to you another young talent from the Mavin Academy. Meet BAYANNI. He has gone through a series of defining moments and is ready to be unveiled to the world.”

Also, keep in mind that Don Jazzy gave up-and-coming musicians a crucial message.

The talent manager offered guidance to up-and-coming artists while discussing how he was able to sign Ayra Starr, Boyspyce, and Bayanni.

Don Jazzy acknowledged that it was he who first got in touch with the quickly developing vocalists.

He continued, saying that he had viewed clips of their musical performances on their Instagram accounts.

Don Jazzy was enchanted with their vocals and talents and reached out to them.

The music executive advised artists to show themselves on social media.

“Dear upcoming artists,

From these 3 screenshots you can see that I reached out to Ayra, Boyspyce and Bayanni myself. I won’t have reached out to them if I didn’t see a sample of what they can do on their Instagram pages. For the umpteenth time, showcase yourself on your page. I know it seems uncool to post a lot. But then again you would be an uncool artist if its only your family that gets to hear your beautiful music till you give up”.
