Fire guts Next supermarket Abuja: Fire in supermarket today

The confirmed report has it that, one of the largest supermarkets in the Nigerian capital Abuja that is known as The Next Supermarket is currently on fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be known however videos sighted by us reveal that the fire that has fitted The Next Supermarket in Abuja is serious.

Properties worth billions of Naira were stolen by some Nigerians in seconds from the supermarket. Meanwhile, the Fire Service were nowhere to be found until a few hours time.

The Next Supermarket is situated in the Jahi Area of the Federal Capital Territory and it was said to have started showing signs of flames around 10:00 am Sunday morning.

Ahman while speaking to the media said:

“The whole of Next Cash and Carry is on fire. We have the FCT and Federal Fire Services on the ground. We are calling on all mutual aid fire services to deploy to Next Cash and Carry. The mutual aid fire services are Julius Berger, CBN, and then the Armed Forces.

“We are calling on the Armed Forces, the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, and the Army to provide support as they usually do.”
