Funke Akindele, a Nigerian filmmaker and actress, has surely achieved a significant milestone that will be tough for any other Nigerian filmmaker to surpass.

The movie actress, who became the first Nigerian filmmaker to earn more than a billion in cinema last month, has not shied away from her historic achievement.

A Tribe Called Judah is still the highest-grossing Nigerian film ever, earning nearly N1.4 billion in just ten weeks since its December 15, 2023, premiere. Clearly, a lot of people, both domestically and internationally, have come to love the movie.
