There are viral photos on social media, particularly Facebook, indicating that GOAT faeces are in high demand in China.

According to the post, this is due to how rich the goat faeces are in protein. It’s also said that the goat faeces intoxicates when consumed, and this is raising fears that it might become an alternative to ‘ice’ due to its ability to create a high effect on consumers.

The goat faeces according to the viral post is served in most cases with a combination of fruit juice, soya milk and other such extracts.

Are Chinese actually eating goat faeces?

It’s not everything you see on social media that you should believe. So when we saw this post, we made our checks to confirm the validity thereof.

From our checks, there is no single publication that confirms this. And even looking at the viral photos, one can tell that they have been photoshopped.

But, we know for sure that goat faeces are still in use as a manure for farms in China, but as to if humans are consuming them, we cannot tell.

We’ll keep on with our research and update the site accordingly should we validate these.
