Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress born on April 3, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, United States.
Commonly referred to as Hayley Kiyoko, she began dance lessons as a child. The singer’s interest in entertainment led to her working as a child model and actress.
She appeared in a variety of films including Scooby-Doo! film series from 2009 to 2010, Lemonade Mouth in 2011, Blue Lagoon: The Awakening in 2012, Insidious: Chapter 3 in 2015, and XOXO in 2016.
Alongside her film roles, she also held a recurring role in the TV series The Fosters as well as a lead role on CSI: Cyber, and Five Points.
Kiyoko was a founding member of The Stunners group which supported Justin Bieber’s My World Tour. The group however disbanded in 2011.
Afterward, Kiyoko issued three solo extended plays: A Belle to Remember, This Side of Paradise, which includes the single “Girls Like Girls”, and Citrine.
Kiyoko subsequently released her debut studio album Expectations on March 30, 2018. The album reached the top 20 of the charts in several countries most notably the United States, Canada, and Australia.
