Kanayo O. Kanayo, a renowned Nollywood actor, praises his colleague Pete Edochie, who celebrates his 77th birthday today.
Kanayo stated that they are birthday buddies by months and that Pete Edochie makes it a point to call him on March 1st, his birthday.
In an Igbo accent, Kanayo gave the seasoned actor high marks. He remarked that it is fantastic to honor him while he is still living.
His words: “We are birthday mates. He makes it a duty to call me on 1st March. Ebubedike Ogadagidi ENYI Mmuo nabu. Great to celebrate you while you are alive and kicking well Happy 77th birthday onye nkem.”

In 1982, Kanayo made his stage debut in Nigerian Television Authority productions. In 1992, he made his feature film debut in the picture Living in Bondage.
He has acted in more than a hundred movies, and for his performance in the film Across the Niger, he received a 2008 Africa Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.Up North and Living in Bondage: Breaking Free are two of his most recent motion pictures.
