Cassper Nyovest and other South African musicians have paid tribute to the late Riky Rick during their performance at the CottonFest festival during the weekend.
The annual Cotton Fest festival returned to The Station in Newtown, Johannesburg this weekend after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The two-day concert saw the likes of Rouge, Nadia Nakai, Cassper Nyovest, Tshego, Maggz, Mae-E, Lady Du, Kamo Mphela, Khuli Chana, Kwesta, Nasty C, Shekhinah, Sjava and Uncle Waffles who had been described by Riky as “SA’s finest.”
During her performance, Rouge revealed that though Ricky Rick had passed she could still feel his presence at the festival.
In a post shared on Cassper Nyovest’s Twitter account, he revealed that he could also sense the presence of the late star.
“Thank you Cotton Fest. My heart is warm. He definitely was with us tonight. #CottonFest2022”.
