Dammy Krane, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, has disclosed that he once paid for a video shoot for a song that belonged to Afrobeats musician Davido.
He revealed this in a response to a supporter who questioned why he had criticized the DMW chief for unpaid debt.
Remember how he had claimed that the Grammy-winning artist had refused to give him credit for co-writing one of his songs?
Rappers Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug from America were featured in Davido’s 2017 smash single.
In reaction to the drama, a member of DMW, @olajuwonekun asked Krane if he paid Davido for his feature on the song, Issue.
”@dammy_krane Do you pay David on his verse on issue ”
The singer of “Amin” emphasized on Twitter that OBO is the rightful owner of the song, adding that Davido did not give him anything in exchange for paying for the music video.
He claims that there is evidence to support his claim, and the music video director UNLIMILEDLA can attest to it.
Dammy wrote; ”Ask your Oga @davido that’s his song but I Paid for the video because he broke, 99 he dint give me a split sheet for that too … I have the receipt, @unlimitedla shot it he gotta #PayMe every + outstanding $”
