The former American football running back is noted to have played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons.
Walker stands as the Republican nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia, having earlier played college football at the University of Georgia, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a junior.
Walker became notable for spending the first three seasons of his professional career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL).
He was the league's MVP during its final season in 1985 before serving on the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition under President Donald Trump from 2018 to 2020.

My concern is that you not have Donald Trump campaign for you in the run-off. I was a very
strong supporter of Trump, but all of my maga friends want him to stay in the background this time. He has become too divisive recently and we all feel it would hurt your chances. Stick with Cruz, Haley, Jordan, etc.
