Hours after the estranged lover of Nigerian actress King Tonto, Joseph Egbri, popularly known as Kpokpogri revealed that his house in Abuja was demolished, the Federal Capital Territory Administration has come out to reveal the reason behind the action.

In an interview with the Punch, an aide to the FCT Minister revealed that Prince Kpokpogri’s house had been demolished because it was built in the middle of a major highway. According to the aide, they constantly warned Kpokpogri to halt development on the land but he turned deaf ears to their warning.

“His house is on a superhighway known as M-16. He doesn’t even have a building plan approval. It’s like somebody who knows that the highway is coming sold the land to him and he just went to build. We have been asking him to stop but he refused”.

The aide also revealed that Kpokpogri was well aware that the land was designated for a highway after he purchased it but pushed forward to build the house within one year.

“When he discovered that it was a road, He didn’t stop but kept rushing the building. The whole building was built in less than a year. The Federal Housing Authority Managing Director came here twice this week. The MD came the day before yesterday (Thursday) that they didn’t give him approval and the building was illegally constructed.”
