In the early 1960s, Charles Crichton-Stuart was associated with the London motor racing scene, alongside notable figures such as Piers Courage, Innes Ireland, and Frank Williams.

He achieved success by winning the Temporada F3 Championship in 1966 and later played a role in securing sponsorships for Williams. After his career in motorsport, he shifted to searching for sunken treasure in the Pacific.

Charles demonstrated his skill as a competent driver in the Formula 3 (F3) racing circuit, initially with Anglo Scottish Racing in 1963, piloting a Lotus 22 Ford, and later with a Cooper T67 BMC in 1964.

In 1965, he became a part of the Stirling Moss Auto Racing Team, where he drove a Brabham Ford BT10.

Competing in various British and European F3 races, he achieved notable success, including a victory at the Sachsenringrennen in East Germany, where he also secured pole position and set the fastest lap.

Tragically, Charles Crichton-Stuart experienced a fatal heart attack while in the Philippines.
