How Did Gopi Chand Narang Die?

Gopi Chand Narang was a famous Indian scholar, literary critic, and theorist. He was born on the 11th of February, 1931 in Dukki; a town in Balochistan, Pakistan. He was born to the famous litterateur and scholar of Persian Sanskrit Dharam Chand Narang.

Gopi writes in Urdu and English. He has a master’s degree in Urdu from the University of Delhi. He also has a research fellowship from the Ministry of Education to finish his Ph.D. in the year 1958.

Chand taught Urdu literature at St. Stephen’s College from the year 1957 to 1958 then he joined Delhi University in the year 1961 as a reader.

He moved to the Jamia Millia Islamia University as a professor in the year 1974. In the year 2005, the University of Delhi named him professor emeritus.

Gopi has published over 60 books in Hindi, English, and Urdu.

How Did Gopi Chand Narang Die?

Gopi passed away on the 15th of June, 2022 in the U.S. He was 91 years old at the time of his death. According to reports, Gopi died after a short illness.
