How Did Mark Purslow Die?

Mark Purslow, a British motorcycle rider, was killed in an accident during qualifying for the Isle of Man TT races.

Purslow who is from Llanon, Wales, was on his third lap of the fourth qualifying session at Ballagarey when he was involved in an accident. He had previously lapped the Mountain Course at a pace of 120.86 mph on average.

He was competing in his second TT after competing in the Supersport and Lightweight events in 2017. Purslow has previously participated in the Classic TT and won the Manx GP lightweight event in 2015.

The Isle of Man TT Races issued a statement confirming the tragic news:

“We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Mark’s family, loved ones, and friends.

“The TT Races will continue but always with Mark in mind.”

They said again: “2022 was Mark’s second appearance at the Isle of Man TT Races, having previously contested the Supersport and Lightweight races in 2017”.
