George Raymond Stevenson who died on the 22nd of May 2023 was an Irish actor.

George Raymond Stevenson was born and raised in Lisburn on the 25th of May 1964, the second of 3 sons born to Irish parents. His father served as a Royal Air Force pilot.

He relocated to England with his family at the age of 8, first settling in the Lemington area of Newcastle upon Tyne and later in Seaton Delaval. He schooled at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating at age 29.

Stevenson appeared in his first film The Theory of Flight released in 1998 as a gigolo hired to assist Helena Bonham Carter’s character lose her virginity.

In the year 2002, George starred in the short film No Man’s Land, which was an antipodal picture from actor/director Edward Hicks before graduating from the London Film School.

How did Ray Stevenson die?

Stevenson passed away on the 22nd of May 2023, 3 days before his 59th birthday while George was filming Cassino in Ischia in Italy. The cause of his death is unknown.
