Judge Otis Wright of the United States has scheduled the sentencing of notorious Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abass, better known as Hushpuppi to September 21 in the Central District Court in California.

Hushpuppi was arrested by federal police officers in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in June 2020. According to reports, the famous fraudster who amassed a huge following on social media for his lavish lifestyle pleaded guilty to the multi-million-dollar fraud charges filed against him in April 2021 and was kept in the United States pending his sentence.

Tracy L. Wilkison, the acting United States Attorney said that Hushpuppi faked the financing of a Qatari school by playing the roles of banking officials and creating fake websites as well as other cyber crimes totaling over $24 million in losses to their victims.

“At the request of counsel, the sentencing is continued to 9/21/2022 at 1:30 pm before Judge Otis D. Wright II, as to defendant Ramon Olorunwa Abbas,” the court said.
