Uriel Oputa, a former Big Brother Naija (BBN) star, has revealed what caused her weight gain a few years ago. The reality star revealed that she was depressed and found solace in food as a result.
“I was a sensitive Eater.” I struggled with depression (and still do) and found solace in food. I had no idea what full meant, and I was aware that I was uncomfortable, but I didn’t care. When people ask me to assist them, the first question I ask is: “Are you Mentally Ready?” It’ll be a tough battle, but you’ll win,” she captioned her before and after photos on social media.
Uriel had previously stated the primary reason for his recent weight loss. She revealed this on her Instagram page, stating that due to her family’s medical history, she needed to embark on a weight loss journey and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
“When you have a family history of high blood pressure, stroke, or cancer, you make changes,” she wrote. I went in for a full physical. I had an ovarian cyst for years (it wasn’t cancerous), but we checked yesterday and it was gone. There is no perfect weight; I was happy being a size 14/15, but my body required a different diet, which I followed, and I lost weight. You can be healthy at any size, but my healthy size was smaller.
“Even if you don’t follow my recipes, pay attention to your body. I don’t want my children to experience what my brothers and sisters did with my mother.”
