I’m Not On TikTok – Unathi Exposes Fake TikTok Account Posing As Her


Famous South African singer, Unathi Msengana has taken to Instagram to distance herself from a TikTok account impersonating her that has been able to rake over 21k followers on the popular social media platform.


Sharing a screenshot of the said account, Unathi wrote that she has no TikTok account and does not know who owns and manages the account.


“I’m not on TikTok and for the record this is not my account. Don’t know who it is but it’s not me🙏🏾”.


Responding to her post, some of her followers revealed that the owners of the said account had tried to initiate a conversation.

@justnqaba wrote, “It’s when this person followed me back and sent me a how are you when I knew there was a problem”.


This is not the first time a celeb has reported being impersonated by an unknown person on social media. About a while ago, Jessica Nkosi revealed that a bunch of accounts pretending to be her on social media was convincing people to invest in cryptocurrency and defrauding unsuspecting victims.


“It has come to our attention that a number of social media accounts purporting to be that of Jessica Nkosi have taken to misleading, defrauding and misrepresenting themselves to innocent members of the public. Miss Nkosi us neither involved in, nor advertising, Bitcoin or any form of cryptocurrency”
