Since 2017, Charalambos “Bambos” Charalambous has represented Enfield Southgate in the British parliament. He was born on 2 December 1967.

His parents are from Kalo Chorio and Fasoulla in Cyprus, both of which are close to Limassol.

He had his education at Tottenhall Infants’ School, St Michael-at-Bowes Junior School, Chace Boys’ Comprehensive School, Tottenham College, and Liverpool Polytechnic (now Liverpool John Moores University), where he currently serves as a school governor.

From 2021 until 2023, he held the position of Shadow Minister for the Middle East and North Africa before being expelled from the Labour Party as a result of a complaint about his behaviour.

North London’s Bowes Park was the home of Charalambous’ upbringing. He pursued legal studies and was chosen to serve as vice president.

Lawyer Charalambous practices law. He was a member of the housing litigation team for Hackney Council before and after being elected as an MP.

For 24 years, Charalambous represented the Palmers Green ward on the Enfield Council. Additionally, he served as an Associate Cabinet Member for Youth, Localism, Culture, and Leisure.
