Daniel Stephen Jones III, a quarterback with the National Football League’s New York Giants, was born on May 27, 1997. (NFL).

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Giants selected him as the sixth overall pick after playing college football for Duke.

Jones started his second season as the starting quarterback in 2016 after redshirting his freshman year at Duke in 2015 due to a season-ending injury to Thomas Sirk.

Jones, who completed 27 of 40 for 252 passing yards and two touchdowns versus Northern Illinois in the 2017 Quick Lane Bowl, was voted MVP. He also rushed for 86 yards on 16 runs for one score.
