English singer-songwriter Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE, was born on February 17, 1991. Around the age of eleven, he started writing songs.

He was raised in Framingham, Suffolk, and was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire. His mother worked at Manchester City Art Gallery, and his father served as curator at Cartwright Hall in Bradford.

Early in 2011, Sheeran independently released No. 5 Collaborations Project, an extended play. The following year, he secured a record deal with Asylum Records.

The UK Albums Chart was topped by Sheeran’s debut album, which was released in September 2011. It included “The A Team,” his debut number-one song. Sheeran took home the Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act prize at the 2012 Brit Awards.

Sheeran is one of the best-selling musicians in the world, with more than 150 million records sold globally. Two of his albums are included in the list of the best-selling albums in the history of the UK chart, and he has 101 million RIAA-certified units in the US.

Is Ed Sheeran Gay?

No! From the beginning to the present, Sheeran’s relationships have all involved women. Before breaking up, Sheeran was dating Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, who appeared in his “Drunk” music video, in 2012.

Cherry Seaborn, a childhood friend and former secondary school classmate, and Sheeran started dating in July 2015.

They made their engagement public in January 2018, and they got hitched a year later. The birth of the couple’s second child, a daughter, was announced as occurring on May 19, 2022.
