Is Eric Weddle a Hall of Famer?

Actually, Eric Weddle is not in the Hall Of Fame.

Eric Weddle was a two-time Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year at Utah and was picked by the San Diego Chargers in the second round in 2007. In his second season, Weddle assumed over as the starting Free Safety, and he would go on to play nine seasons for the Chargers, three of which earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl. In 2011, he was named to the First Team All-Pro for the second time (2011 and 2014), and he led the NFL in interceptions with seven.

Weddle is well-liked by his colleagues, but he lacks the statistics to make a compelling case for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He might be able to get in at any point, but it will most likely take a long time. However, voters aren’t robots, and there’s a chance that favoritism will play a role.
