Gordon Earle Moore was an American Engineer, businessman, and the Emeritus chairman of Intel Corporation. Gordon is also well-known for proposing Moore's law.
Gordon is a native of San Francisco, California in the United States. He was born on the 3rd of January 1929 and raised in Pescadero by his father who was then a county sheriff.
Moore happens to be an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with a B.S. degree in chemistry. Prior to joining Berkeley, Moore was enrolled at the San Jose State University, which he attended for two years.
Gordon was married to Betty Irene Whitaker, his fellow at the San Jose State College in 1950. The couple had two sons, Stephen and Kenneth together.

Gordon is no more with us at the moment. Moore was announced to have joined his ancestors on the 24th of March 2023 at his home in Hawaii.
