Nicholas Scott Cannon was born on October 8, 1980. He is an American television personality, actor, rapper, and comedian.
Cannon was primarily raised by his paternal grandfather, whom he and his biological father both referred to as “dad.” Cannon grew up in Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects, a gang-infested neighborhood in Southeast San Diego.
Following his tenure as host of the TEENick block, Nick Cannon became the head of Nickelodeon's TeenNick channel in 2009, as well as its development and creative consultant.
In 2012, Nick Cannon launched Incredible Crew, a sketch comedy series starring six teens for which Cannon wrote and produced the theme song. Cartoon Network Studios collaborated with Ncredible Entertainment to create the show. The series previously broadcast 13 episodes before it was canceled.
Cannon recorded his debut stand-up comedy special, Mr. Showbiz, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The special debuted on Showtime on May 14, 2011. Mr. Showbiz was released digitally on iTunes on May 16, 2011.
