Sonny Douglas Gray, a professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball, was born on November 7, 1989. (MLB). He had previously played for the Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, and New York Yankees. Gray played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores while he was a student at Vanderbilt University. Gray was chosen by the Athletics in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 2013, twice won the American League Pitcher of the Month Award in 2014, and in 2015, he was selected as an MLB All-Star. Gray was acquired by the Yankees in 2017 and was transferred to the Reds prior to the 2019 season. He had a 3.70 ERA and a 5-3 record in 2020. With seven wild pitches, he had the most in the NL. Gray had a 7-9 record, a 4.19 ERA, and 155 strikeouts in 135 + 3 innings over 26 starts in 2021.
